The Northeast corner of the existing El Centro Valley Center Point Shopping Center, bordered by Villa Avenue and Frontage Road, became home to a brand-new public library spanning 19,811 SF. This modern facility incorporated a plethora of amenities, including a community room, staff areas, expansive reading zones, a dedicated bookstore, and inviting exterior patios. The external surroundings witnessed significant modifications as the existing parking was strategically reconfigured, accompanied by the introduction of fresh landscaping, stormwater management systems, new site lighting, and other enhancements.
El Centro Library’s electrical transformation was both extensive and intricate. Our team embarked on installing state-of-the-art switchgear, electrical panels, and streamlined interior distribution systems. However, the true luminary marvel was manifested in the interior lighting. With a focus on illuminating the library’s spaces in a unique and functional manner, over 50 distinct types of lights were incorporated, many of which were specialty fixtures tailored for specific ambiances and functionalities. The meticulously planned and executed lighting setup not only elevated the library’s aesthetic but also underscored its architectural and functional brilliance.
