Phelps Dining Hall Facility at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms underwent a comprehensive renovation to modernize the 31,000-square-foot facility and address long-standing infrastructure deficiencies. The dining facility serves hundreds of Marines daily and required extensive upgrades to support new mechanical systems, kitchen equipment, and overall building improvements while maintaining the reliability expected of a critical installation facility.
Cacy Electric’s scope focused on upgrading and expanding the facility’s electrical infrastructure to support the renovation. The project included installation of a new medium-voltage pad-mounted transformer and dedicated emergency standby generator system to provide reliable backup power for the building. Our team also reconfigured portions of the existing electrical distribution system, provided new feeders and branch circuits for mechanical equipment including chillers, and coordinated electrical modifications associated with the kitchen’s fire suppression and ANSUL systems. The result was a modernized electrical system capable of supporting the dining facility’s upgraded equipment and operational demands.
